What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol, an open standard from Anthropic that lets AI assistants like Claude talk to your tools securely. Stunden ships its own MCP server, so Claude can read your data and trigger actions on your behalf.
Which AI assistants work?
Any client that supports MCP. Today that means Claude Desktop and the Claude API. The protocol is open, so more clients are coming.
Can the AI delete or send things on its own?
Destructive and external actions (sending invoices, paying bills) require your confirmation in the chat. Read actions return data freely. You can lock either side per role.
Where does my data go?
Stunden stays Swiss-hosted. The assistant only sees what you share in a given prompt, no background sync. You decide per question what data leaves the tenant.
Does it cost extra?
No. The MCP server is included with every Stunden subscription. You pay your AI provider for the model itself (Claude Pro, API), not Stunden.
Can I limit what the AI can see?
